Your Southport Stars Awards return this April to celebrate the incredible work of businesses in Southport town centre over the past year.
The Awards, now in their third year, saw over 35,000 votes cast across nine categories in 2023.
We are once again inviting Southport BID businesses to nominate themselves before a public vote is undertaken. All businesses situated within the Southport BID boundaries are eligible to enter.
Businesses can nominate themselves in the following categories:
- National Retailer of the Year (national brand stores, banks)
- Independent Retailer of the Year
- Restaurant of the Year
- Café or Coffee Shop of the Year
- Pub, Bar or Club of the Year
- Entertainment Venue of the Year (tourist attractions, cinemas, events venues)
- Health and Fitness Venue of the Year (gyms, leisure facilities)
- Beauty Business of the Year (salons, barbers, beauty businesses)
- Hotel or Guest House of the Year
- Expert Services Business of the Year (accountants, solicitors, estate agents. auto-repair, estate agents)
- Public Service of the Year (transport providers, education providers, health providers)
Businesses which have opened in 2023 can enter the New Business of the Year category.
Two awards will be judged by a panel. The Innovation Award will recognise a business or development that is contributing to the progression on Southport’s economy. The Special Recognition award will honour a business or organisation that has contributed positively to the town centre over the last twelve months.
The business with the most public votes overall will receive the headline award of Business of the Year.
The deadline for nominations is on Sunday 5 February.
The awards night will be held at The Grand on Tuesday April 16 2024 and all BID businesses will soon be invited to attend.
