Southport Pubwatch
Southport Pubwatch is a collective of pubs, bars, and night-time economy venues focused on maintaining a safer environment for both customers and staff of licensed premises within Southport Town Centre. Pubwatch is a pro-active scheme led by licensees in partnership with Southport BID, Merseyside Police, Merseyside Police Licensing, Sefton Council Licensing and other agencies.
Information relating to incidents linked to licensed premises is gathered, collated and exchanged to reduce and prevent violence and anti-social behaviour in order that a safe and secure environment is maintained. The collective works on projects and initiatives that champion safety and security.
The scheme is open to all licensed premises within Southport town centre.

Banned From One, Banned From All
Southport Pubwatch members will consider persons involved in violence, disorder and alcohol related incidents for warning and exclusion. Persons excluded will be barred from all participating venues for a specific period of time.
These incidents include (but are not limited to) drunk and disorderly, harassment, public order offences, assault, theft, possession of drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon.
The period of an exclusion will be at the discretion of members of the scheme, in compliance with the Southport Pubwatch guidelines offences.
Southport Ask For Angela
Sometimes you can find yourself in a situation that isn’t safe or that makes you feel uncomfortable.
A number of venues in Southport town centre operate the Ask for Angela scheme. This means you can discreetly ask for help and assistance.
