Southport sparkles at Christmas
Southport become Visit for afternoon winter walks on Lord Street beneath the ‘Boulevard of Light’, stopping off at the 60ft LED Christmas tree for the now-traditional festive selfie, and taking in the picturesque displays at The Grand, The Vincent, and many more.
Make sure to seek out The Bear and The Reindeer too. Our festive friends have decided to wander further along Lord Street this year…
Santa visits Southport
Silcock’s Funland and Pier Restaurant 📅 Multiple dates in December
Join Santa and his Elves for breakfast at Silcock’s this Christmas. Each visitor will be treated to breakfast, a festive hot chocolate, and a Christmas goody bag to take home. Make sure to get a selfie with Santa on his special carousel horse too! Find out more

Santa visits Southport Market accompanied by one of his helpful Elves to bring some festive cheer. Bring along your letters to Santa to post them in the magical post-box! Find out more
Wayfarers Arcade 📅 Multiple dates in December
Visitors to the town centre are in for a treat at the Wayfarers Arcade Grotto. Littles ones have the chance to meet Santa and enjoy some fun with Santa’s elves before choosing a gift to take home. Frozen favourites Queen Elsa and Anna will also be stirring up some festive magic.

Search for the Gingerbread Family
Southport Town Centre 📅 November 23 – January 5
Explore the town centre and be on the lookout for ten Gingerbread characters who are hiding in the windows of businesses around the town centre. You can also visit special Gingerbread Selfie Zones to take pictures with festive props.
One lucky entry will be drawn at random to win a Nintendo Switch with games from Game Southport! Find out more

Victoria Park 📅 Throughout December
Festive skating for all the family returns to Victoria Park in December 2024. Authentic German food will also be on offer from 16 December onwards.

Panto season
The Atkinson 📅 6 – 31 December
Step into a winter wonderland and let the magic unfold as KD Theatre Productions (the team behind last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk) return to The Atkinson this Christmas with the enchanting pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Southport Little Theatre’s ever-popular family pantomime returns with an adaptation of the popular children’s story Snow White. The show is performed by Southport Dramatic Club and provides fun, laughter, and great entertainment for all ages. Find out more
The Atkinson 📅 6 – 17 January 2025Still looking for your Panto fix in the new year? The tale of Cinderella, performed by All Souls Dramatic Club, is a spectacular family show which promises to take you on a magical journey. Brass Band Pub Crawl
Southport Town Centre 📅 14 December
A perfect excuse to visit the fantastic bars and pubs in Southport! Skelmersdale Prize Band will be playing popular Christmas tunes in a series of pubs in the town centre. They will split into two groups, each taking a route of local pubs and taking in as many venues as they can. Visit your local or follow the band around for a merry evening of music.
