We?are thrilled to announce that Southport has won Gold at this years Britain in Bloom awards! ?Not only that, we have also been awarded Best Coastal Resort.

The town has looked stunning this summer, with the gardens along Lord Street, Victoria Park and beyond looking simply beautiful. ?The thanks go to the teams of volunteers who have worked tirelessly and with such remarkable dedication. ?Pauline Morris, the driving force of the Lord Street volunteer team and owner of Barford House, was also honoured with a discretionary award for community champions. ?Pauline and her team have planted stunning and imaginative gardens all over the town centre. Southport BID supported the volunteers work with the purchase of a series of bulbs, equipment and compost.

This year we have also worked to see Southport bloom, with the installation of our brand new planting scheme. ?Our three tier planters burst with colour and provided key features around the town centre. ?We also installed dozens of barrier baskets up and down the streets and a series of hanging baskets and roundabout features.

We have now replaced the barrier plants with a stunning new winter scheme to ensure colour is kept in Southport throughout the winter months.
