Southport BID Business Engagement Manager Luke Randles has thanked all the local business owners who have already contacted him since he took up his new post – as he urged any others with any issues to get in touch.
Luke has enjoyed a busy few weeks since he was appointed last month. He has been calling into local shops, restaurants, cafes, offices and attractions to discuss the support available from Southport BID; helped firms to come on board with the Southport Gift Card; and has helped to save costs for them through the BID’s Savings Procurement Programme.
Luke said: “I am really enjoying my new role with Southport BID and am encouraging businesses to get in touch.
“I am happy to arrange meetings locally, or to take phone calls or be contacted via email.
‘It has been fantastic to get out and meet a great number of business owners, leaders and staff over the last few weeks.
“In such a vital time for our town centre, it’s vital to be informed of the challenges that businesses face and to discover how we at Southport BID can offer support.
“Although I have already managed to spend some time with lots of people across the town centre, there is a large number of businesses in our BID area and I am keen to make sure there is no-one who feels left out.
“Whether you would like to hear more about the BID’s current projects, or to talk about any ideas or concerns that you have, I would like to reach out and offer my time to any of our Southport town centre businesses.”
Southport BID CEO Rachel Fitzgerald said: “Luke will be a familiar face to many in the business community in Southport. He has worked as Manager at Tap and Bottles in Cambridge Arcade, and knows exactly what it needs to run a successful business in Southport.
“He is unique in that he has a great knowledge from being on the ground in Southport already, and he will be able to relate to everyday business issues in our town.”
