SouthMerseyside Police has opened a ‘pop up cop shop’ in Southport’s town centre today (Wednesday) – to advise shoppers in the run-up to the festive period.
We are pleased to be working with Merseyside Police on the relaunch of their Pop Up Cop Shop in Wayfarers Arcade.
The venture will offer a public point of contact between police and the businesses and wider community. The shop will be located at a unit in the Wayfarers Shopping Arcade on Lord Street from 10.30am ? 12pm, Monday and Tuesday and Thursday and Fridays 12pm ? 4pm offering advice and free resources.
Southport Town Centre officer Con Andy Holland said: “We would encourage business owners to take advantage of the free services and crime prevention advice being offered at the Cop Shop”
We have been working incredibly closely with the police at all levels to help tackle the issues businesses face daily. The Cop Shop forms a small part of a far wider reaching plan for our new financial year beginning November which will see us increase activity and presence of our Business Against Crime network, with new initiatives being planned to help tackle crime and make our evening economy safer. We have been working hard with Merseyside Police at all levels, and will continue to work closely with businesses and agencies to make our town safer
