Employees at Southport businesses heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are to benefit from a free Sefton Council package of activities designed to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of staff.
Active Sefton – which offers a host of sports and fitness activities across the borough and forms part of Sefton Council’s health and wellbeing portfolio – has just released details on its website of Working on Wellbeing, a free government-funded programme.
It is being delivered by Active Workforce – Sefton’s award winning health and well being programme for businesses to help their staff to be active and healthy during working hours, and reduce their absence through sickness and poor health.
It aims to target small-medium sized businesses (SMEs) reeling from the pandemic with activities and events throughout the year ranging from physical challenges to group activities or educational seminars.
Active Sefton organises a raft of activities including lunchtime walks, mindfulness group meetings and online active classes as well as bigger, pre-organised events that you can have in your calendar through the year, such as Duathlons, seasonal holiday activities and sports tournaments.
But businesses can also suggest bespoke packages with Active Sefton open to activity and event suggestions that you think your employees might enjoy.
