Businesses Invited to Celebrate 2025 Heritage Open Days

Southport is once again taking part in the national Heritage Open Days festival, running from 12 to 21 September 2025, and organisers inviting local businesses to get involved in this exciting celebration of history and heritage.

They are keen to feature any location with a fascinating past, whether that’s a stunning historic building, a long-standing business, or a space with a unique story to tell.  The theme for this year’s Open Days ‘architecture’.

The aim of the festival is to highlight buildings and businesses that have a significant historical interest, either by giving access to buildings or parts of buildings that aren’t usually open to the public, or by offering something different to what is usually there.

This could include behind-the-scenes tours, talks, or historical displays and photographs.

Venues already involved this year include The Atkinson, The Princes of Wales Hotel, and The Masonic Hall amongst others.

The final deadline for registration is 14 August 2025, but please contact the organisers as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part.
