Cyber Security Workshop takes place this September

Two free businesses workshops are taking place later this month on the theme of Cyber Secuirty.

InvestSefton and the NW Cyber Resilience Centre are inviting Sefton businesses to attend a free Cyber Security workshop which will provide invaluable advice on how to protect your business.

The workshops take place on Wednesday September 20 (at The Lake House, Waterloo) and Thursday September 21 (at Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa).

All Sefton-based businesses are welcome to attend.

The interactive sessions will give businesses a greater understanding of the cyber risks they are likely to face and how to reduce these risks, including:

  • Phishing, passwords, networks, malware and social media
  • Live demonstrations and real-world examples
  • Ask the cyber expert Q&A
  • Developing an action plan
  • Certificate of completion

The workshops are part a wider Merseyside Cyber Security Programme, which includes a free 12 month programme of support.

  • Security awareness staff training for up to 5 staff
  • Expert cyber support to make your business more resilient
  • Resources inc. incident response and policy templates
  • 12 months membership with regional updates and events
  • Access to NWCRC partners for additional services and discount.
