The Boulevard of Light
As part of the government’s Town Deal investment, led by Sefton Council, Southport BID secured investment of £100,000 through the Acceleration Grant fund.
The BID provided further match funding to make Lord Street sparkle. We have also committed to the maintenance programme for the lights over the next three years.
If laid out, the lights on Lord Street are almost long enough to stretch across the English Channel.

Chapel Street Decorations
To celebrate the summer season and to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we installed new floral-themed decorations above Chapel Street during 2022.
The three rows of flower and crown motifs brought a splash of colour to the high street and make a great first impression on visitors to the town centre.
