One of Southport’s most stunning outdoor hospitality spaces is due to open on Monday (12 April).
The Roof Garden at Bliss Hotel, on The Promenade, has beautiful views across the Marine Lake and out towards Southport Beach and Southport Pier.
It is among outdoor hospitality spaces in Southport due to reopen next week as ‘Step 2’ of the government’s easing of Covid lockdown restrictions.
Staff at Bliss Hotel are looking forward to welcoming back guests to one of the town’s hidden gems.
The hotel has been open during lockdown, catering for NHS staff and other essential key workers.
The facility is now preparing to welcome more visitors as it looks ahead to a busy summer season.
Bliss Hotel unveiled its stylish new look in July 2019 as guests enjoyed their first taste of the venue’s £15million transformation.
The hotel – formerly the Ramada Plaza – underwent substantial renovations to turn it into a hip new destination keen to attract visitors from across the UK.
The old, formal restaurant went, replaced by a new modern, open-plan look with ‘Bliss Kitchen’ serving great food to those lounging in ‘Bliss Space’.

The highlight of the changes was the beautiful 3,000 sq ft roof garden or roof terrace, which overlooks the Marine Lake and Southport Beach.
The hotel’s owners claim the venue enjoys the ‘best views in Southport’.
After months of restrictions over the past year, staff will now be looking forward to reopening their roof garden area, with hopes that the indoor facilities will be on track to reopen for 17 May under ‘Step 3’ of the easing of Covid restrictions.
