The BID has commissioned 10,000 square metres of deep street cleansing this month.

Through a tender process, the contract was awarded to Primoserve and they have been tasked with deep steam pressure washing Southport’s most soiled streets. ?This street cleaning project will serve in addition to current street cleaning regimes to ensure that all grease stain, chewing gum and other dirt is fully removed. ?Heavy footfall streets such as Chapel Street, Nevill Street and Bath Street will be targeted but we will also continue our programme of cleansing in side streets and low footfall areas to ensure that during our term all areas will receive cleansing.

The contractor is extremely familiar with Southport and will work hard of the coming days to improve the town ahead of the Christmas season.
